Frequently asked questions
Can our security company authorize tows?
Yes. California allows an employee or agent of the property owner or lessee to authorize tows. Your towing agreement can name your security company as an authorized agent, and their officer must be present to verify each violation.
Can individual tenants authorize tows?
A lessee can authorize tows under §22658. Most centers prefer to have management or security handle it so the rules are enforced the same way across the whole property. We'll set it up however your leases allow.
